"Sun, glassy clear water and a few punchy waves to boot in this edit from Long Beach in the Pacific Rim National Park on Vancouver Island! This spot is probably one of the most famous in Canadian Surf lore being that is was one of the main beaches that people used to post up on in their cars in the 60s and 70s when people first started visiting the area. People were literally living on the beach, families kids and all posted up in their cars, tents and makeshift driftwood shacks. In the 80s with the growth of surfing in the world, surfing gradually starting becoming a thing out here as people saw the potential in the waves and with the advent of wetsuits helping a lot of course."
